Blog Writing Guidelines for the Wuhan 22

For this year's WTOSP, you have a certain number of speaking and writing assignments that you are expected to fulfill, as you will recieve college credit and a grade for the program.

For the blog, first we ask you all to post a short Introduction of yourself. Tell us a little about you, and give us your English and Chinese names. Also include a picture of yourself so we can associate name and face. We will work to learn both your real Chinese name and your English name, so include both in your intro.

Also please include your WeChat ID and your G-mail address so we can create groups and be in contact.

Then, during the first two weeks of the program, we ask each student to write ONE weekly blog post, for a total of ONE personal introduction, and TWO thoughtful blog posts for the program. We encourage you to make one of these blog posts a Vlog, or video post, if possible.

You can certainly write MORE than an introduction and two entries on the blog, but we ask that you do these as a minimum.

Hints: Most good blog posts will only be from two to four paragraphs in length, and will not include more than three pictures. Blog readers typically like to be able to quickly and easily read, write and respond to a blog entry. Do not post more than three pictures, as this makes the blog hard to use. If you want to create a slideshow, that would be a better way to share a larger number of pictures.

We also ask that you respond to other writers by writing FOUR Comments. Make your comments thoughtful. A good comment will usually be one that adds something to the topic or conversation started in the original blog post.

Blogging is about expressing your ideas and sharing observations. Be creative and have fun!
