This trip is the first time for me to go outside of China. There is diverse differences between CHN and USA which I feel unbelieable.
The cleaning situation of restrooms in USA is pretty good. Who to remain it clean? The answer is everyone. But in China, restrooms in China are dirty or even disgusting.
In USA, services by others are more expensive than those is China. In restaurants, a 15% to 20% tip is needed. And buses, taxis also require a high fee.
I can't understand why the beverages produced in Coca-Cola and Pepsi are so expensive (3 times than in China) because they don't need much service.
Their government is easy to access. Everyone can make a tour in it. But in China, it is impossible, or even a little absurd.
In USA, consuming tax is required from consumers while in China it is concluded in price.
The license plates of cars are diverse that almost have no regulations, which is worse than those in China.
Good observations Aaron. It's amazing how quick you see the differences between your home culture and where you find yourself in the word. The costs of things are always a topic of conversation with people. In the end it works out to be about the same economic-wise. However, food in China is much cheaper than in the US. I think there are a lot of reasons but it's great you've asked the question "why" to get to possible answers.
