Welcome to Columbus, OH! My name is Brieanne Beaujolais, but you can call me Brie. It has been very nice meeting all of you over the last couple of days, and I am excited to continue spending time with you during your time in Ohio.
As I mentioned yesterday, I live near campus with Bob and our four cats (and 12 chickens). I am spending lots of time this summer in our small, urban garden where we have planted over 100 tomato plants and other vegetables.
Beginning in August, I will be a first year PhD student in the College of Social Work at OSU. In addition to being a student, I will continue to teach a Women's Self Defense class at OSU. I love teaching this class because I feel that it helps to empower students. It is fun to help women on their journey to discovering their strength and power!
