My first week in USA

This is the first time I go abroad. The night our team stayed in Shanghai before we took the plane to USA I was very excited.I cannot wait meeting new friends, living in a new environment or a country.
The moment we took off the plane,Mike and Peter went to the airport to take us to the OSU(The Ohio State University)I still remembered that Peter worn a suit"Oh,he is handsome!".And Mike is so tall,"Oh my god,I have to look up and talk to him."After about 30 min car-running.We arrived at our dormitory,it's the most beautiful dormitory I have ever seen. When I got in I was so excited that I could't say a word but just look around and thinking. Then we went upstairs and went into the rooms, the conditions of rooms were much better than Wuhan university.Everything here was new for me and it was amazing!
In the first week we met Mike,Peter and his son Walt,Bob,Susy,Irien,Hans etc.I thought Americans are very friendly, thoughtful, enthusiastic and tall!We have been showed around the campus,we visited their hospital, dining hall, and the amazing stadium it's even larger than the Bird Nest in Beijing that it can contain more than 120 thousand people. One more,I have to say that their fitness center is so large that contain more than 4 basketball fields, one runway, many treadmills and other exercisers.
In the first week,we went to many beautiful and amazing places, for instances the State Government, the Columbus Zoo,Mike's House, the Wexner Center and some well-sightseeing places in the OSU(the Oval, the Library).Besides we have gone to many famous places to go shopping like Macy's,Micro Center,AMC etc,we bought many things that would be sold very expensive in China.
One thing that I cannot forgot was that we attend the Sarah's wedding in the campus, and we learned to dance in American style, that's really funny and technical.
In a word,America is a amazing and awesome country,I love it and if I have chance to study or live in this country I will choose that without any hesitation!

  1. Great post Frank - thanks for sharing your initial experiences here in Columbus and glad you want to study and live here! We welcome you back!

Attending a wedding in a foreign country can be such a fun time. I remember the first Chinese wedding I attended and how much fun I had to simply experience it all.
