What an unforgettable day!

Today is a special day. It's Vivian's birthday! So, I'd love to say Happy Birthday to Vivian at first.

It was the first time that I planted a tree, a real apple tree. It's very exciting and proud to plant a tree by ourselves. I tried my best to dig the hole, but it's too hard to me, so at that time team work is necessary. Our team, which included Snow, Stephen, Jane, Mr. Wu and me, did a great job.

And at lunch,I met a lady whose name is Vivian too. What a coincidence!
In the evening, we really had a wonderful time. Some of us went to dance with Brie and had a lot of fun. Do you guys remember the chicken dance? That's amazing!!!
Then we hold a birthday party for Vivian. We ate cakes, put cream on others faces and took photos together with Hans. People chased after those who hadn't cream on his face. In the end, everyone had cream on their faces, that was interesting. By the way, Hans is a great dancers!

Although we are all very tied today, I do believe that it will be a precious memory for every member of our group. ^_^
Good night!

    2. I am Bob's mother. We are Italians and almost every Italian has a garden of some kind, vegetables, fruit and flowers. I hope that some day you will see and taste the fruits of your labor!
Because we are Italians, I will write you a very funny Italian proverb!

If you want to be happy for a day, GET DRUNK!
If you want to be happy for a week, KILL A PIG!
If you want to be happy for a month, GET MARRIED!
If you want to be happy for the rest of your life, PLANT A GARDEN!

I was so happy to meet all of you. Have a wonderful time on your trip to NYC, DC, and PA! Nonna aka CLAUDINE

Digging the hole the first time is a tough one for sure...glad you stuck with it and called in your friends!

I LOVED the pictures of the birthday cake frosting fight. Looks like the group is happy and harmonious. It's been a joy to see you explore Central Ohio!

  3. I haven't been to the dance class, what a pity!!I have heard that you danced along a famous song from TFBOYS. How fantastic it is!

I really agree with you on the necessity of team work, especially when we do something tough for the first time. I notice that when our group was planting a tree. Every time I work by myself, I can only take out a little soil out of the hole at a time. But when we add our power together, we dug out a lot of soil in a short time. Few are good enough to manage a tough job on their own; even if he can make it, it will take a lot of time. That is not a wise choice. People are social animals, that means, we can't live without other people. Besides, no one is perfect. Only by working together, can we succeed in a efficient way! So we must attach great importance to team work.

  4. Hey Catherine,here I come!
I love the picture that you were standing in front of the fruit tree wiith a shaver in hand, you seem very active and satisfied in it!
This is also my first time to plant a tree, and I have to admit it's much harder than I've thought. The sun's burning, and the groud's tough to dig,but friends were always around us to hold our back,we took turn to do the job so that we could all reserve some energe to complish the planting. Thanks to that, we finally made it!This little apple tree'll always grow in our heart!
Like what Mike has said the other day by doing something which may not do ourseleves good directly, but we do this to benefit the world,we do this to connect to the world!
Also, earth is our mother,we ought to do whatever we can for feedback, and we should start it now!
