Go hiking in American is much more interesting than I though. I don't mean the mountain that is difficult to climb, but the travel itself. The coniferous forest is unit in American, so when I was looking at it, I didn't feel the same in China. After all, it is far way from home. Not only did we use both our hands and foots to clime, but also I saw the different trees. The American went camping and they build the wooden house. It was interesting, and the travel give them a lot of fun.
Once I though I should travel around world in my life time with the one you love. And I will come back to home when I see all the culture in the world. The travel enrich my life, the travel also give me the answer to the question in my mind.
I have belief that there are three place I should go. Those place may give the answer. The first is the Jerusalem, the second is Tibet, and the last is the American. The two in front may refer to the religion.I believe in life and death. The last refer to an idea in my mind. I always think that China is like the American 30 years ago. That means the Chinese laws, the economic fall behind the American. So I can imagine the Chinese future when I am in American. So I really though a lot when I was in the way from the mountain to the OSU. The field in American, the traffic and the way people enjoy the hiking are different. It may help me understand the way China can use to soar.
At that time, I may miss the Chinese landscape, but actually the feeling of the missing just appeared in a very short time.My classmates once told me that I would miss home when I was abroad. However this time I feel like in home, because Mike is really friendly and I was one of the numbers of the big family.
So I think Chinese people can enjoy the culture in American. And we can also find the way to mix the culture. The understanding of the culture will help us build the relationship. I see the differences, and I think. This habit will last until the day I leave.
What a beautiful, insightful post Robert. Thanks for sharing it. Mike and the rest of the team are very happy to hear that you are feeling home away from home here in Columbus. China is indeed a great country, and so is the US, so when you can appreciate the pluses and minuses of both you start to see how combining them can make a truly global person. I had similar experiences while living in China. Though I was far from home I always had people around me to heighten my China life and experiences. More to come on this trip!
